India’s COVID Crisis
We are heartbroken about the humanitarian crises occurring in India right now. South Asians in Canada are fighting two pandemics - one here in Canada and another in parallel in India where many of us have close family and friends. We have been asked many times how Canadians can help support India during this time. Here are a few resources and fundraising campaigns:
Virtual Town Halls.
We have partnered with local health experts, community and BIPOC organizations and ethnic media to produce virtual educational events to address common questions related to COVID-19 and vaccinations. Available in multiple languages, these events were also broadcast across the country via Y Media.
